2 Jumping Plumbers
Up until a few years ago I’ve played any Mario games whatsoever. Shocking I know. Throughout my life, I’ve owned only three video game consoles: Sega, Playstation 2, and lastly Wii. It was when I’ve purchased my Wii that I owned and played Mario Kart. The game and console were part of a special set.
Before you ask, yes of course I’m loving the game. However, I’ll be honest, I’m not too fond of the console. Turns out it is far more challenging to game with a Wii console one-handed than I’ve anticipated. For the future, I’ll probably go back to a Playstation console (loving my PS2 so much!).
Now, will you excuse me, I need to play a video game or two…
Mario Kart is a great way to start!

ah, mario. i remember spending a ton of time trying to finish super mario land on my game boy. (one of those clunky, old, grey ones) later, when i had a snes, super mario world took its place, and i still think it’s the best one. from about then, my sister became the family’s nintendo delegate, with her n64, gamecube, and wii, and would most likely advocate super mario 64 instead. (she is a heretic like that, but don’t tell her i said that)
now i have to ask, though: which sega console did you own? (i did just cast a longing gaze at my old and war-battered dreamcast, still one of the best consoles ever)

so we were enemies in the 16-bit era (snes vs mega drive), and ended up on the same side, in #teamplaystation.
i also remember the disney games of that era fondly. aladdin, lion king, and mickey’s magical quest mostly.
